02 / The Story

Made slow, on purpose.

Driftwood began in a one-car garage in Ogden with a secondhand wheel and too much stubbornness. Five years later, we still work the same way: slowly, one piece at a time, glazing in small batches so the kiln tells us what the season looks like.

Every piece is thrown, trimmed, bisque-fired, glazed, and fired again by hand. No molds, no shortcuts, no two pieces the same. If there's a thumbprint in the base, that's where it was held.
